JellyWorld
Teleported into a secret facility in JellyWorld, you're a gummy and are NOT welcome here. Work your way through a series of puzzles, whilst getting verbally harassed by a myriad of Jelly scientists, to get to the Gummy portal and make it home. Will you escape back home? Or will you succumb to the Jellies' puzzles and their demeaning and straight-up rude comments?
JellyWorld was a game jam game I and 2 other people worked on. The game jam lasted over the course of 48 hours with the theme being make me laugh. JellyWorld is a puzzle game where you have to solve a myriad of puzzles whilst being hurled with insults and disrupted by jellies, who are trying their hardest to be irritating, and attempting to make you chuckle.

JellyWorld's gameplay consists of 4 puzzle rooms all of which test a different skill. There is a perception room, a math/physics room, a geometry room and a manoeuvrability room. Within each room also resides a Jelly who will distract and insult the player to prolong the puzzle. The Jellies can move objects, destroy platforms or simply insult and misguide you as well. There were plans for more/different puzzles but as we only had 48 hours, we had to cut some of them out and change the ones we had in the game already.

Music
As Jelly World was only a simple quick game jam game, I made one looping gameplay track that plays on a loop in the background. At first, it's meant to be upbeat and get you excited and interested, however over time as it loops it begins to be irritating and frustrating, much like the theme of the game.
Rationale
Whilst we were currently working on Endless Vendetta during this game jam, I and the two other teammates wanted a break from developing EV and wanted to make something different whilst also building up our portfolios. This game jam was a perfect way of achieving that. It allowed us to make a simple unique game and have some fun with it. We made some funny design choices, especially with how the Jelly NPCs interact with the player and made some interesting puzzles. Overall JellyWorld was a fun side project, where we didn't have to worry to much and make a fun quirky game
